About New Church Camps

New Church Camps are run by The General Conference of the New Church.  Many are run by the Youth and Family Team, complemented by other Ministers and leaders.  They are held at locations around the UK – visit the Venues pages for more information on those owned and run by the New Church.  At times we also have residentials at other venues – these will also be advertised here.

You may wonder about the word “Camp” – are we sleeping under canvas?  Actually, we aren’t – the centres we stay at have differing levels of luxury, with some being pretty basic!  The contrast is those that feel like you have four star treatment.  In the past, the camps have had various names, such as “schools”.  This doesn’t drum up feelings of fun and laughter in the same way “camp” does, and does not really reflect what we are all about.

So, if you were hoping for an immersion into the outdoors at night, apologies!  But we will make sure you have an awesome time learning about your relationship with the Lord and how it can impact positively on your daily life.  And we can absolutely guarantee that there will be time for joy and laughter while we are about it!
